Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio are all in the storm zone Tuesday night.
The Midwest is bracing for severe storms that could bring tornadoes, damaging winds and hail Tuesday night.
There’s an enhanced threat for overnight tornadoes from Missouri to Ohio, including Evansville, Illinois; Louisville, Kentucky; and Cincinnati.
Chicago and northern Illinois are also facing an enhanced threat for tornadoes and hail.
Meanwhile, blizzard warnings are in effect for parts of North Dakota and Minnesota Tuesday night. Up to 2 inches of snow is expected, as well as 50 mph wind gusts, which could cause whiteout conditions and treacherous travel.
In the Northeast, flood watches have been issued from West Virginia to Maine ahead of a combination of heavy rain and melting snow.
Severe storms will hit the Ohio Valley early Wednesday.
The heaviest rain, winds and possible thunderstorms will reach the East Coast Wednesday afternoon and evening, stretching from the Carolinas to Maine. Heavy rain is in the forecast for Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York City and Boston.
The storm will clear out late Wednesday night.
