In the fourth round, Imavov kicked Dolidze in the head while his hand was down, with the Russian-born athlete docked a point for the foul. The bout continued and both men attacked with more fervor, Imavov continuing to land the more significant blows throughout. Dolidze tried to chase submissions in the final round, but Imavov continually wriggled free and scored in the open-space exchanges.
