NBC News’ Maggie Vespa spoke with Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil, who said that no deaths have been reported in the county and the area did not sustain as much damage as anticipated. McNeil said authorities thought the storm was going to be on the “magnitude of Hurricane Katrina.”
