Three teenagers were injured Friday morning in a shooting outside Carver Vocational Technical High School in west Baltimore.City police confirmed a shooting outside the school at Presstman and North Bentalou streets around 7:50 a.m. Deputy Police Commissioner Kevin Jones said two 16-year-old students were injured and taken to a hospital. Jones said a 17-year-old walked into a hospital on their own. Police said the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.Jones said the shooter fled east on Presstman Street.The school was placed on lockdown, and Baltimore City Public Schools said the families of the students injured have been notified.The district said students are safe inside the school building. WBAL-TV 11 News crews at the location observed parents and students arriving at the school.In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, City Schools said: “We are aware of an incident at Carver this morning. We’re working with Baltimore Police Department and will share further details when we can. Parents/guardians and families are advised not to go to the school at this time. Please wait for further instructions. The families of the students injured have been notified. All students are inside and the campus is secure.”Baltimore City Councilman James Torrence, D-District 7, posted a statement on X, saying: “I am aware of the double-shooting outside my beloved Carver Vo-Tech High School this morning. The mayor’s office and BPD are actively communicating developments with myself and community members. Please keep the victims, school and community in your prayers.
