According to the Washington Post, last week President Biden discussed concerns over the survival of democracy with a group of academics where comparisons were reportedly made to America pre-Civil War and to pro-fascist movements. NBC News’ Joshua Johnson is joined by historian Michael Beschloss who was part of the group that met with the president for an in-depth analysis of the current state of democracy.
