President Biden defended his record on crime today ahead of the midterm elections and discussed his administration’s plan to curb gun violence. The plan includes $13 billion over the next five years to hire more police officers, $3 billion to help courts clear backlogs, and a 13 percent increase in the ATF’s budget.
