Ford Motor Company has just released its 2014 trend report on ten global consumer micro trends for the new year. Ford futurist Sheryl Connelly discusses the top trends expected to take shape in 2014 and how they will affect what consumers will want to buy in the coming year and beyond. Connelly reveals how Ford monitors shifts in social, technological, economic, environmental and political areas and what the company hopes to learn from what she says is the biggest global consumer trend for 2014 — consumers’ desires to seek a better balance of technology and spending time off-line.
