Investors seeking to play a recovery in REITs should consider Digital Realty Trust which specializes in data storage centers because it’s trading at a discount to its net asset value, says Joel Beam, Portfolio Manager for the Forward Select Income Fund. He also says Associated Estates Realty and American Homes 4Rent are cheap and smart plays on the improvement in the economy and increased housing formation.
