Glympse is a geolocation app that updates people of your choosing on your location for a set period of time. Easier and faster than a text, the program is now available in many major car brands including BMW, Mercedes, Ford, and General Motors to reduce texting and driving, and it’s even available on Facebook and Twitter. However, users’ privacy is protected because the updates only go to selected friends or family members. Recipients can also turn off Glympse if they don’t need to see the location.
