Go figure, the tired Eddie Bauer brand that you know from 1997 may shortly be part of Jos. A. Bank. In one of the weirder combinations in the retail sector, Jos. A. Bank has made a supposedly sincere play for Eddie Bauer to the tune of $825 million. We say “supposedly” as the deal is a likely ploy by Jos. A.
