Private equity firms have been making the most out of the Jobs Act, the legislation President Barack Obama signed into law in April 2012. While some startups, like Twitter, GoPro, or King.com, makers of the Candy Crush game, are utilizing the Jobs Act’s protective clauses, other PE-backed firms, like Evertec, and La Quinta Inns, are also utilizing the legislation. Now, some IPO experts are saying the parameters of the Jobs Act are too friendly.
