Congressman Earl Blumenauer says regulating marijuana will actually make it safer for children. Without regulation, kids can buy pot easily, but if it were regulated like alcohol, it would be harder. The Congressman also pointed to the various pieces of legislation that have been introduced to deal with marijuana in a realistic manner. Additionally, money is a big motivation for Washington to act.
