Shares of J.C. Penney are suddenly some of the hottest in the entire stock market. After a challenging 2013, J.C. Penney has finally begun to show signs of life in its stores thanks to the addition of new merchandise and more compelling discounts. There are also signs the company will turn a profit by the 2014 holiday season after 2 years of cost-cutting. Belus Capital Advisor’s Brian Sozzi thinks J.C. Penney is now able to attract a new long-term shareholder base instead of raising capital.
