Markets were in cautious mood Tuesday as Russia and the West prepare to trade sanctions over Ukraine. British supermarket group J Sainsbury has a bad quarter and predicts more to come. Copper miner Antofagasta’s bad result dampens the mood for other miners. Swedish truck maker Scania rejects Volkswagen’s $9.1 billion offer for the 37% of the company it does not already own. European car sales were up in February, but not VWs.
