G-III Apparel beat analysts estimates for the fourth quarter earnings, but missed on sales. The real problem for the stock this morning is that first quarter guidance is in the range of negative ten to twenty cents, when analysts expected a positive four cents. The acquisition of G.H. Bass will hurt the first quarter and cause the company to lose money. G-III Apparel owns such brands as Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger and Guess.
