Unprecedented levels of RSV combined with surging flu cases prompted an urgent plea for the White House to declare an emergency. Flu hospitalizations are soaring higher and earlier than in previous years. NBC News learned the surge in infections is running some pharmacies dry of one of the most common flu treatments, Tamiflu, just as the holiday season ramps up.
