Stocks open higher on Tuesday, boosted by some positive earnings. Johnson & Johnson reported first-quarter profit that rose 34% on demand for new drugs and the company also raised its 2014 forecast. Also, Coca-Cola reported better-than-expected quarterly revenue on strong sales out of China. On the economic front, the Labor Department said U.S. consumer prices rose slightly more than expected in March. The Consumer Price Index rose 0.2% on higher food and rental housing costs.
