Deal talks pushed stocks higher in the early session for the Dow and the S&P 500, the NASDAQ has struggled to stay positive. Pfizer was up after saying it still wants AstraZeneca, while GE is looking at Alstom’s energy assets. Forest labs will acquire Furiex Pharmaceutical. Toyota looks to be moving its sales headquarters to Texas and Bank of America said it would end it share buyback and dividend increase after discovering a calculation error for capital ratio.
