eBay on Tuesday reported earnings of $0.70 a share on $4.26 billion in revenues, beating analysts’ estimates of $0.67 a share on $4.23 billion in revenues. Revenue grew 14% year-over-year. eBay’s continuous enhancement of its mobile shopping experience and rapid consumer adoption helped contribute to the higher sales. eBay has had its fair share of headlines lately due to interest from billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn. The company will also take a $3 billion tax-related charge.
