Impact Investors seek to create a positive impact on society as well as earn a profit, says Margot Brandenburg, co-author of “The Power of Impact Investing”. Brandenburg says impact investing is different from socially responsible investing because it attempts to build solutions as opposed to screening out problems. She says individuals and institutional investors must prioritize the level of financial return they seek relative to the investment’s social impact.
