Luxury home buyers are eyeing New England real estate for the lifestyle. A Realtor.com study found that 23% live in northeastern states such as New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. That’s because New England is home to a large number of prestigious universities and maintains low crime and lower unemployment. Waterfront property is the most desirable real estate for 37% percent compared to 19% percent who prefer a countryside property. The rich have obstacles with 20% citing an inventory shortage.
