Jim Cramer says Coca Cola needs to revitalize its portfolio and it needs to grow rather rapidly. He points out that the company owns stakes in Monster Beverage and Keurig Green Mountain. He suggest that perhaps it is time for it to buy the rest of Green Mountain and the rest of Monster. Cramer says Coca Cola has a fabulous balance sheet and it has spent a lot of money buying back stock but a better way to go is to buyout the remainder of those two companies. He likes that Monster is sold in convenience stores that are often attached to gas stations — money saved at the pump means more to spend at those stores. He says about Green Mountain that it has a bunch of new iterations out including a cold drink maker. So there’s a lot to like in those two companies without Coco Cola buying them but he predicts Coca Cola will take the plunge in 2015.
