Amid the hype surrounding Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system, the software failed live up to expectations, proving too complicated for users. Now two years after its release, Microsoft is hoping Windows 10 will provide a much needed spark to the brand. Even though Windows is a relatively aging property, the software giant is counting on its latest iteration of Windows to propel the company into the future. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm speaks with Scott Kessler, an analyst with S&P Capital IQ, to discuss how important Windows 10 is to the future of Microsoft. Shares of Microsoft are trading up 25.25% since the start of the year.
