Jim Cramer looks back at the markets in 2014 and how we’re set up heading into the new year. Cramer says he’s one of many who underestimated how far oil prices could fall, and now that it’s coming back, you’re going to have the snapback in emerging markets, Europe and the United States. Cramer says the market has been shifted to the retail consumer — and when retail leads, you’re going to start to see sectors like banking and technology improve. He also weighs in on interest rates and how potential rate hikes will impact the markets next year, plus how an improving job market will finally start to mean higher wages and consumer spending. Cramer says if gasoline stays down, 2015 will produce a market of consumption that’s going to surprise people.
