It’s bad news for retailers on Friday morning as the market gets ready for a slightly down open, following monstrous Thursday gains. Macy’s shares are down on disappointing comps, and plans to close more than a dozen stores nationwide as it looks to scale down its operations, including in marketing. Bed Bath & Beyond stock also took a hit this morning getting ready for the bell, after disappointing on sales in its earnings report, and also with meager comps. And Jim Cramer decided to boost his position in Mastercard, bullish on the company’s odds of catching up to its biggest competitor in 2015.
