Carlos Ghosn, chief executive officer of Nissan Motor and alliance partner Renault, said he expects global growth to total 2% in the coming year. The U.S. could grow to 16.7 million vehicles from 2014’s 16.5 million, he said. Next year also will be a year of growth for Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury brand. In Russia, the collapse of the ruble as well as political difficulties with Europe and the U.S. are bad news for the Russian auto industry; but Renault has an advantage in its ownership of local car brand, Lada.
