Winter weather in the Northeast has wreaked havoc for the commercial airlines, but it has been a fantastic growth opportunity for the private aviation market. Kenny Dichter, CEO of Wheels Up, tells TheStreet’s Jill Malandrino weather is the best salesperson because of the operational advantages it offers versus commercial airlines. Wheels Up had a banner year for 2014, its first full year of operation. Wheels up ended 2014 with 1,000+ customers, 40 aircraft and a run rate of $100 million. Dichter explains the trend is your friend, and expects Wheels Up to stay on that growth trajectory for 2015, ending the year with over 2,000 customers and get to a $200 million run rate.
