Investors kick off a fresh month of trading, and while the earnings calendar is quiet, traders will be busy with key manufacturing and jobs data, vehicle sales and the commodity trade. TheStreet’s Jill Malandrino and Mark Sebastian of Option Pit point out intraday headlines will be driven by several sell-side broker conferences and retail stocks as traders await Costco earnings and management commentary from Target’s analyst day. Sebastian says ‘Beware the Fed of March’ as he believes managers could take some money off the table and the VIX will move higher into the FOMC meeting. Crude options volatility remains high, while gold has seen a down tick.
