TheStreet’s Jim Cramer says while he’s not necessarily expecting a good quarter for VeriFone when it reports on Tuesday, he does like the stock for 2016. VeriFone provides the technology for electronic payment transactions when consumers choose to pay with credit cards. Cramer says the big retailers have to try to change their point-of-sale system and he thinks VeriFone will ultimately be the winner. He advises investors to buy the stock when it gets hit. Why buy it ahead of time? Cramer says because there are too many people expecting something huge and that’s always a mistake. VeriFone Systems is set to report first quarter results after the market closes on Tuesday.
