March Madness fans won’t have a chance to win a billion dollars this year through Warren Buffett’s perfect-bracket contest. The contest had been offered by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, Quicken Loans and Yahoo!. But, according to media reports, the contest quickly spurred a series of lawsuits between Yahoo!, Berkshire and sweepstakes company SCA Promotions. SCA initially sued Yahoo for allegedly backing out of a similar contest. Yahoo! then counter-sued and eventually sent subpoenas to Berkshire about its dealings with SCA. Berkshire has reportedly asked a judge to scrap the subpoenas — and with the start of the 2015 NCAA tournament just days away, this year’s contest is likely scrapped too. /// Can you beat TheStreet.. at basketball?
