The big question today is whether or not the Federal Reserve will remove the word patient from its official policy statement. Most on Wall Street believe the low rate party will end soon but the question is when. If the Federal Reserve removes the word patient when it releases the statement tomorrow, that could mean an interest rate hike is coming in June, earlier than some had thought. Apple is reportedly close to launching a web TV service this fall. The Wall Street Journal says it is in talks to offer a slimmed down bundle of TV networks, which includes all of the major broadcasters except for NBC.
