Kraft and Heinz are merging. Heinz will own 51 percent of the combined company and Kraft will own 49 percent. Warren Buffett’s 3G Capital is putting $10 billion dollars into the merged company. Kraft shareholders will get a special dividend of $16.50 a share. Facebook’s F8 Conference gets underway today in San Francisco. The F8 app hints at major changes involving Facebook’s efforts in the Internet of Things as well as its messenger app. Lexmark is buying Kofax as Lexmark tries to expand into enterprise software. Kofax shares rose 45 percent after hours as news of the deal broke. American Express holds an analyst meeting today.
