TheStreet’s Jim Cramer says he’s keeping an eye on CarMax to see if it will confirm the weak numbers we saw from GM and Ford on Wednesday when both companies posted sales declines for March. Jim Cramer owns GM in his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust portfolio and says the stock will do something over time but as to whether it will do anything short term, Cramer says CarMax will give us some sense but his take is that the numbers that were reported just don’t move the needle. GM is very much involved with Latin America, Europe and China. CarMax is domestic. So that means you may want to buy AutoZone off of CarMax, he says. CarMax is set to report its fourth quarter results before the open Thursday.
