Dan Dicker, Energy contributor at TheStreet, talks with Jim Cramer about the blockbuster $70B deal between Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A) and BG Group. Shell has been targeting this UK-based natural gas specialist for several years and is taking the opportunity of lower natural gas and oil prices to buy out the distressed company. Synergies, particularly in Australia make this a decent deal for Shell, but insures that someone like Exxon-Mobil (XOM) won’t likely ‘come over the top’ and try to outbid Shell. When Exxon makes their own move for cheap assets, Dicker believes it will likely be in the U.S. shale space.
