Corporate leaders need to develop an open culture of trust so employees know exactly where they stand, said Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric and the co-author of ‘The Real-Life MBA’ along with Suzy Welch. Suzy Welch added that one of the biggest problems facing corporate America today is ‘alignment,’ as well as a ‘fear of finance’ which they tackle in their book. Jack Welch also explains that while he was nicknamed ‘Neutron Jack’ for his layoff policies, his employees appreciated his honesty. Among the CEO’s Jack Welch admires currently are Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, as well as Under Armor’s Kevin Plank.
