Digital cash revenue at McGraw-Hill Education topped print in the higher education business for the first time ever last year and that trend will likely continue, said the company’s CEO David Levin. Levin added that he is still in the process of transforming the company, now owned by Apollo Global Management, from one of the world’s top 3 text book publishers to a learning science company with education technology at the core. He said ‘open learning’ will drive change in the classroom as teachers use software to incorporate 3rd party content and local color into their lesson plans.
