Look out for shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) in Wednesday’s trading session. The burrito chain reported mixed first quarter earnings. Chipotle posted earnings better than analysts’ estimates. But, revenue fell below Wall Street projections for the period. Sales at stores open more than a year rose 10.4% due to an increase in the amount of money spent by customers. The company also cited a rise in customer traffic. Still, the key sales metric fell below Wall Street expectations of an 11.8% growth. Shares of Chipotle ended the regular session in the green, but following the earnings release, the stock is down in after-hours trading. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
