This is the president’s first time coming face to face with the issue since taking office two years ago. Images of the humanitarian crisis are everywhere, including outside an El Paso church where at least six migrants were arrested today. Residents are accusing authorities of trying to sanitize the crisis for Biden, but Customs and Border Protection deny it, saying the arrests are “in response to migrants evading apprehension.”
