Look out for shares of Facebook (FB) in Thursday’s trading session. The social media giant reported mixed first quarter results. Facebook earned a couple pennies above estimates, but revenue for the period fell short of analysts’ expectations. Facebook cited negative foreign exchange impacts for the lower than expected revenue. However, the company said daily active users came in higher compared to the consensus estimate. It also topped expectations in monthly active users with a 13% percent rise year-over-year. Shares of Facebook finished the regular session up on heavy volume, but fell into negative territory following the earnings release. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
