Investors seeking to increase their exposure in the beaten-down energy sector should buy the Nuveen Energy MLP Total Return (JMF), said John Cole Scott, Portfolio Manager for Closed-End Fund Advisors. He added that the JMF has a tax-sensitive yield and is beating it’s peer group in terms of performance. Scott is also bullish on the BlackRock Long-Term Municipal Bond Fund (BTA), saying it trades at a wider than normal discount with high earnings coverage and a low duration. Finally, Scott is positive on the Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Diversified Equity Income Fund (ETY) due to its low volatility and lack of leverage, as well as shares of high yielding Medley Capital (MCC).
